Whenever an unsightly zit appears, you usually only have a few choices: cover it with some gunky cream while you sleep at night, conceal it with pore-clogging makeup during the day or just let it show in all its glory. None of them really sound like awesome options, right?
We tested CoverAid Therapeutic Concealers to see if they really can help you “conceal while you heal.” The verdict? Not too shabby!
Our favorite was the acne concealer, which contains benzoyl peroxide (known for being a drying agent to promote skin turnover) and AquaCacteen, a soothing, calming and firming extract from the prickly pear cactus. Oh, did we mention it comes in three different shades, too? We preferred this over the typical benzoyl peroxide cream because we could wear it during the day with our makeup.
The only downside was, that although there are a few shades available , it wasn’t the best color match. You have your option of Light, Medium or Dark. If you’re in-between, it may take some blending with your makeup.
